Deployments and deliveries

The aim of the project was to increase the effectiveness of the Client’s existing equipment resources and optimisation of the IT environment. Virtualisation performed on the Vmware platform allowed for launching and integration on several physical machines, many independently functioning systems. As a result, it has reduced the utilization costs of the whole IT infrastructure which allowed to achieve equal utilisation of all resources.

Thanks to virtualisation, the IT environment became extremely flexible and prepared for various modifications needed due to quickly changing business conditions. It became possible to quickly and easily create, delete and restore virtual machines, depending on the Client’s requirements. Other advantages that were brought by the application of the virtualisation solution on the Vmware platform:

• guarantee of work continuity (after deployment, procedures of emergency switching systems were developed and tested in case of the failure of a chosen physical server machine),
• increased resistance of the environment against equipment failures,
• integrated files and images backup.

Presently, in the Client’s virtual IT environment, among others, MS Exchange mailing system, SQL database system, Active Directory environment operate. Deployment of such advanced solutions as virtualisation involved specific equipment requirements. Due to this, in order to guarantee the highest quality and functionality of the infrastructure, we have supplied the Client with new server and network equipment: latest generation DELL PowerEdge servers and network switchers DELL with 1Gbit/s ports.
