Implementations and deliveries

The aim of the project was to deploy a content-management system for the needs of the Ministry of Economy and Labour website and portals of Structural Funds, and the migration of contents of current portals. Presently, the system contains over a dozen thousand documents, altogether operating 16 services that belong to the most often visited government websites in Poland, and approximately 150 authors editing it. The basis of the deployed solution is Microsoft Content Management Server 2002, complemented by the platform of information and tasks flow, Open Text Workflow. In creating the document, the author chooses an adequate template and inserts the text. Then, appropriate users receive tasks to accept and publish the document. The system allows multistage work on a document, in strict accordance with the defined procedures valid for particular parts of the website. All works on the website content are done using an Internet browser.

The solution has a complex content-indexing mechanism and full-text search with the possibility of filtering the searched scope of the website. The system also has many additional functions like a discussion forum, banner-management mechanism, possibility to post comments regarding articles, tool for creating, publishing and analysing the questionnaire and polling results, articles in for-print version, newsletter, possibility to recommend a document to a friend.
