Datacom Workshop 2006

In cooperation with Xerox Poland, Lenovo Technology, and the American IT Corporation Captaris, the company Datacom System S.A. organised two-day workshops Datacom WorkShop 2006 connected with the presentation of state-of-the-art IT systems. Due to the great interest of these types of workshops, the company Datacom System S.A. will organise them once again at the break of February and March 2007. In the course of the workshops, each participant had the possibility of competing example tasks in person (in 2 scenarios prepared) by using integrated IT systems.

Each participant could:

• use faxes straight from his computer (Captaris RightFax)
• create own path of the task circulation in the company (Captaris Workflow)
• work in groups on documents and tasks (Microsoft SharePoint)
• archive all documents in the company (Captaris Alchemy)
• count and assess the printing of works (Equitrac)
• send documents to many locations from MFP machines

All this could be done using state-of-the-art IBM/Lenovo computers, supported by the newest solutions in the scope of MFP machines by the company Xerox. Befriended companies were invited to the workshops, where in a 3h session they were introduced to the newest IT solutions and possibilities of facilitating them in their companies.

Participants of the workshops unanimously stated, that it was a very interesting experience, at the same time gathering many various systems cooperating so well with each other in one place. It is due to this that the company Datacom System S.A. has decided to organise this type of workshops again. Already at the break of February and March 2007, more companies with which the company cooperates will be invited to show them how to improve their work even more.
