Result of the regatta for the Lenovo-Datacom Cup

On 7 July 2009 in the Regatta for the Lenovo – Datacom Cup, 43 yachts started out in two measurement classes T3 and T2. Check-in of crews took place at 10:00 at the Captain’s Port in Sztynort, and the race started at 12:00 noon at the level of the Ilma Island. Due to the weak wind in the first half of the race, we decided to shorten the route to the buoys at Dębowa Górka. Near the end, the wind was very strong and the yachts barely made it before the storm. 25 yachts finished the race at the finishing line and were classified, and what’s important, the regatta turned out to be completely safe and accident-free. After returning to the port in Sztynort, just before the sea shanty concert of EKT Gdynia, cups and medals were awarded to the winning crews.

We would like to thank all participants for a wonderful time and congratulate the winners once more. Thank you also to WOPR lifeguards, judges and the personnel of the port in Sztynort.

At the same time, on behalf of Datacom and co-organisers, we would like to invite you to Sztynort for a regatta next year in 2010.
